Biology
From Alabama argillacea (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), Alabama sp. on Gossypium hirsutum (Malvaceae). The specimens from Brazil have been reared from an ichneumonid cocoon that emerged from larvae of Alabama sp. It is thus very probably that crassus develops as a hyperparasitoid on ichneumonids (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) attacking Lepidoptera larvae. Hyperparasitoid.
